Dialogue with the galaxy

Dialogue with the galaxy

A Poem by Fabrice Poussin

Walk precious, walk for no one, nothing will ever be in your way

you are light of all stars, life of all hearts, love of all souls,

above a land of waste fear and separation you may float,

to stars, galaxies beyond a darkest moon, around a fiery sun.

You are immense to the one who kneels at your feet, beloved

constellation no man will ever map, open your deep greens,

hovering eagle for a nation, there is nothing left to fear,

for you give life, you give your caring gaze to all.

Surrounded by unfathomable endlessness, no enigma resists your will,

fife is what you are, a body made of infinite arrows of light,

shining without enemies you reign over planets, and men,

space is you, the night your possession, day your dominion.

There is no locale you can not own, no time where you do not live,

all knowing, you need no light of man, encyclopedias seem bleak,

all you are you offer, as you see with all you are adored,

take the world in your warm embrace, smile with your heart.

We look up and we see you, we know you, we trust you;

rain is you, hail belongs to you, snow from your heart is heat,

the only sun, goddess, your cuddle matters more,

as you tuck us in for the night… good night… good night…
