Bangkok Bar Girls

Bangkok Bar Girls

Bangkok Bar Girls

A Poem by Pegi Deitz Shea

Not much flesh

but dark hair

long and sleek

falling over form

fitting pink dress

a number

hanging between

adolescent buds

in a padded bra

She runs to the man,

ignores his wife,

and leads him

by the arm

to a table

where her sisters

in orange lipstick

sit on his lap

stroke his skin

fill his order.

Bangkok bar girls,

can’t you see

the world

is flat

in his round eyes?
